Weekly Recap: August 11-15

It's Friday of our first full week of school, and we are TIRED!  It is exhausting getting back into the swing of a new school year, but this Jungle Crew handled it like pros.  I am so excited about this school year.  This class works so well together, and I am loving their unique personalities.  Have a great weekend, everyone!  -Mrs. H
We wrote our class mission statement this week.  I was impressed at what the kids came up with.  When you allow your students to be an integral part of this process, they tend to take more ownership of their classroom and its rules.  Here are two students signing the mission statement.

The Jungle Bank opened for business this week!  Each week, students can visit the bank to deposit Jungle Bucks or purchase items from the Jungle General Store.  Our bankers are hard at work!

We invited our Kindergarten Mass Buddies over this week to work on a joint project.  We traced each others' arms and then brainstormed words/pictures to draw on our arms that represented our likes/interests.

The finished product...I think it turned out great, don't you?!
